Description
Molly McNair is a scholar of her own history, but she’s tired of living it through books. A citizen of the Cherokee Nation who is often told she doesn’t “look the part,” Molly is restless to bridge the gap between her modern life and the “blood memory” of her ancestors. Her plan is as ambitious as it is sacred:
a 1,000-mile sojourn to retrace the Trail of Tears.
She won’t be walking it alone.
Her sister, Emmy, is a powerhouse in the MMA ring and a Master’s candidate in the classroom. While Emmy is used to fighting for championship titles, she knows the hardest bouts aren’t always won with a knockout. When Molly calls, Emmy trades her training gloves for hiking boots, serving as the fierce anchor her sister needs.
